Hörlein, Philipp Heinrich

Born in Wendelsheim in 1882, studied chemistry, joined Bayer in Elberfeld in 1909, member of I.G. Farben’s managing board from 1925 on, named a Wehrwirtschaftsführer in 1942, responsible for research on pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and chemical weapons, acquitted in the I.G. Farben Trial at Nuremberg in 1948, became chairman of supervisory board at Bayer Leverkusen in 1952, died in 1954.
